Entre el 19 y el 25 de enero se realizará el “4th Cell Biology Course – 2014” en la Universidad Austral de Chile. Este curso, que es totalmente gratuito, está orientado principalmente a estudiantes de postgrado y postdoctorado en el área de las ciencias, e incluye la participación de alumnos de Sudamérica.
Esta iniciativa está enfocado en poder entregar una formación teórico-práctica al día con los últimos avances de esta disciplina. Cabe señalar que el curso será dictado en su totalidad en idioma inglés por lo que se requiere que los estudiantes tengan un manejo del idioma ya que será altamente interactivo.
El curso es auspiciado por el Instituto Curie, MECESUP, la Dirección de Investigación UACh y la Institución gala. Entre los expositores se destacan alrededor de 10 destacados investigadores del Instituto Curie, un investigador de la UBA e investigadores nacionales de la PUC, UCH, UNAB y UACh.
Esta actividad es organizada por la Dra. Patricia Burgos y el Dr. Gonzalo Mardones, ambos académicos del Instituto de Fisiología de la Facultad de Medicina de la UACh, señalaron que será una gran oportunidad que permitirá el fortalecer las áreas básicas de diferentes programas de postgrado de la UACh, establecer redes con científicos nacionales y del Instituto Curie, dando una oportunidad única a estudiantes como académicos de establecer nichos de colaboración en el área de la formación de capital humano avanzado y en futuras líneas de investigación.
Cabe destacar que esta actividad es uno de los cursos satélites relacionados con el “1° Simposio de Programas de Postgrado UACh en Biociencias”, el que se realizará los días lunes 6 y martes 7 de enero de 2014.
